I bind unto myself today
the strong Name of the Trinity,
by invocation of the same,
the Three in One, and One in Three.
I bind this day to me for ever,
by power of faith, Christ’s Incarnation;
his baptism in Jordan river;
his death on cross for my salvation;
his bursting from the spicèd tomb;
his riding up the heavenly way;
his coming at the day of doom:

Dear Friends,
It hit me like a bullet of truth. Hope is not just about the future, it is anchored in the past. I was driving home from our Thanksgiving celebration and thinking about our Sunday morning worship in our house church. We would be celebrating the first Sunday of Advent and the theme that goes with that first candle is HOPE. . .from Thanksgiving right into Advent. . .That is exactly how it should be. The best of times and the worst of times, the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat, high praise, joyful tears, belly laughter, miracles of salvation and healing, disappointment, stupid mistakes, unfair treatment, depression, anger and pain. Church.
I have more hope now for the Church than I have ever had before. . .
That is how I finished Part 1 of this journal. It’s really true. I am 100% convinced that the Church is becoming a radiant Bride and She will be fierce in both power and holiness!
